Individual Laser
For the Last couple of days we have been doing multiple projects on Inventor and Illustrator. We were told to design and make a notebook, water bottle and 3D object. For my notebook I designed it with my name on the bottom and a W in the center of the front page. Then for my water bottle I engraved it with a Waunakee soccer logo. For my 3D laser cutout I made a crystal. All of the final projects are shown below.
Notebook:
To create my notebook I started out by figuring out the pictures I wanted on my notebook. Then I put the images into illustrator along with my name. Next I had to make sure all the lines I needed to cut a vector length of 0.0001. Next, the teacher put my design file into the UCP Laser software and set it up so it would cut through the material I was using. After that I had the teacher start printing my notebook image. After it was done printing I punched holes in it and I was done.
Water Bottle:
I figured out the type of design I wanted on my water bottle and then put it into illustrator. I image traced them and turned up the white tolerance so it considered the inside of the lines as nothing so I was only left with the weave pattern. I then expanded the image to make them shapes that the laser can print out
